Introduction and Summary of Work Done Till Date
The Al-Reza Healthcare & Research Foundation was founded on 5th August 2017 under the esteemed banner of Jamiat Ul Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil, led by its visionary president, Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi. The foundation was established with the noble vision of improving healthcare standards and extending support to the underprivileged sections of society in Kargil and beyond. Officially registered on 24th March 2018, the foundation has since been a beacon of hope and service, driven by the unwavering commitment of its leadership and members.
The Jamiat Ul Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil, under the guidance of Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi and its executive members, has played a pivotal role in the formation and success of the Al-Reza Foundation. Their dedication to serving humanity and promoting healthcare in the region has been instrumental in transforming lives and addressing critical healthcare challenges.

B. Aim & Objectives
To provide selfless service in healthcare through super-speciality and multi-speciality camps.
To assist poor and needy patients with financial support for medical expenses.
To donate medical equipment and supplies to hospitals within the district.
To organize regular blood donation camps for District Hospital Kargil.
To support the district administration during disasters and natural calamities.
To provide 24-hour ambulance services for the needy.
To conduct health education and disease awareness programs.
To establish a state-of-the-art Fatimiya Super-Specialty Hospital in Kargil.
C. Work Done in 2017
6th & 7th August 2017: Multi-speciality camp at Itchoo, Kargil, benefiting 200 patients. Five minor surgeries were performed, and medicines worth ₹15,000 were distributed.
17th September 2017: Multi-speciality camp at Mushkoo, serving 250 patients with medicines worth ₹11,000.
24th September 2017: Health check-up for students at Al-Mehdi Yateem Trust’s Boys Hostel, Lankerchey. Free medicines, circumcision, and clothing were provided.
1st October 2017: Blood donation camp on Ashoora, with 67 donors registered.
22nd October 2017: Mega eye camp with 800 check-ups, 16 surgeries, and free intra-ocular lenses donated. Additionally, an ABG Analyzer worth ₹5.3 lakh was donated to District Hospital Kargil.
D. Work Done in 2018
18th May 2018: Health check-up for students of Jawadia Project Care and ISK.
2nd August 2018: Multi-speciality camp at Lankerchay Brok.
11th & 12th August 2018: Mega multi-speciality camp in collaboration with District Hospital Kargil, benefiting 4,000 patients. Advanced procedures like laparoscopy and micro-spine surgery were performed for the first time in the district.
21st September 2018: Blood donation camp with 20 donors and 82 registered for future needs.
7th October 2018: Multi-speciality camp at Batambis, serving 130 patients.
E. Work Done in 2019
17th-18th July 2019: Neurosurgery camp with 50 consultations and 6 surgeries.
25th August 2019: Health camp at Parkachik, benefiting 317 patients.
26th August 2019: Psychiatry camp with 70 patients and free medicines worth ₹10,000.
9th October 2019: Eye check-up for 30 students at Bal-Ashram.
10th-11th October 2019: Orthopaedic knee camp with 900 consultations and 90 patients screened for knee replacement.
F. Work Done in 2020
Provided critical support during the COVID-19 pandemic, including donations of N-95 masks, PPE kits, and oxygen concentrators.
Organized door-to-door campaigns, free ambulance services, and assistance for quarantined patients.
Donated ABG analyser cartridges worth ₹43,500 to District Hospital Kargil.
G. Work Done in 2021
Distributed 10 oxygen concentrators for domiciliary treatment.
Conducted eye camps, blood donation drives, and multi-speciality health camps, benefiting thousands.
Performed 19 knee replacement surgeries and 6 gynaecological surgeries, including advanced laparoscopic procedures.
H. Work Done in 2022
Organized blood donation camps, eye camps, and super-speciality medical camps, serving over 1,200 patients.
Conducted gynaecology and psychiatry camps with 15 major surgeries.
Provided food baskets to TB patients under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Abhiyaan.
I. Work Done in 2023
Conducted free medical and blood donation camps during Muharram, serving 700 patients and registering 240 donors.
Organized knee replacement and gynaecological camps, performing 27 surgeries.
J. Work Done in 2024
11th-12th June 2024: Laparoscopic surgical camp with 12 major surgeries.
18th-19th June 2024: Free eye camp with 550 consultations.
26th-29th June 2024: Eye camp with 750 consultations and 52 cataract surgeries.
9th-10th Muharram 2024: Medical and blood donation camp with 700 consultations and 210 donor registrations.
26th-27th July 2024: Super-speciality camp with neurologist, gynaecologist, physician, and surgeon services.
